J. Scott Bicknell, MD

Dr. Bicknell is a native of Louisiana and a graduate of Centenary College, where he earned both a Bachelor of Science degree in geology and a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology. He then completed his undergraduate education at Texas A&M University with a Master of Science degree in geology. After working as a professional petroleum geologist, he was called to follow a different career path, medicine, where several of his family members had distinguished themselves. He entered medical school at LSU School of Medicine in Shreveport, earning his MD degree. He served a residency at the same institution prior to completing a fellowship in orthopaedic trauma surgery at Grand Medical Center, Columbus, Oh.
Upon completion of his fellowship, Dr. Bicknell returned to Shreveport and became a partner in The Orthopaedic Clinic. In Shreveport he also has served as an assistant clinical professor in the Department of Orthopaedics at LSU Health Shreveport.
Dr. Bicknell is a member of the Shreveport Medical Society, Louisiana and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
