Dr. Cambize Shahrdar, MD

Cambize Shahrdar, MD, practices hip and knee surgery at The Orthopaedic Clinic in Shreveport. Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, Dr. Shahrdar specializes in hip and knee reconstructive, revision and replacement surgeries, as well as robotic joint replacement surgery. He listens to and spends time with patients to understand their pain or injury as he works to improve their quality of life. Teamwork is his treatment philosophy as he engages patients and clinic staff to find solutions that work for each patient. Using thorough examinations, X-rays and patient responses, Dr. Shahrdar seeks conservative treatment options before surgery.

He performs and teaches the advanced methods for anterior total hip replacement that he introduced in Northwest Louisiana years ago. Dr. Shahrdar also teaches the gap balancing technique in knee replacement surgery  and robotic knee replacement to fellow surgeons and orthopedic residents. As an author of many scientific papers, he presents at orthopedic surgery clinical meetings. His memberships as a fellow include American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and American College of Surgeons.

Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Dr. Shahrdar’s extensive education and training brings value to the Shreveport-Bossier community. His undergraduate college degree is from University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida. He earned his medical degree at the University of Miami School of Medicine. Medical training as an intern and resident took place at LSU Health Sciences Center-Shreveport School of Medicine, where he was selected as chief resident during his final year of training. Dr. Shahrdar moved to Los Angeles for a joint reconstruction fellowship at Centinela Hospital, and a second fellowship in pelvic and acetabular fracture and anterior hip replacement surgery at Good Samaritan Hospital.
